Our sorority was having a party with a fraternity on campus last weekend, so I asked my friend Maddie if she would let me do her makeup beforehand and she said she would love it if I could. I have interviewed Maddie for my College Beauty Spotlight before and you can find her interview here. Maddie told me that she didn’t care what was on her lips or what the rest of her face looked like so I had some freedom to play around there, but she did ask specifically for dramatic eyes. Here is the look with some very dramatic eyeliner and what I did to achieve it
Face
I started the look by applying my Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer in Radiant under Maddie’s eyes to help conceal the color and highlight the area. Then I applied Maddie’s Pur Pressed Mineral Makeup SPF 15 in Light all over her face and applied the Neutrogena Shine Control Powder on her t-zone to help with excess shine. Maddie had already done her face makeup earlier in the day so I only really had to do touchups
For blush I applied the NARS Orgasm blush onto the apples of Maddie’s cheeks and gently swept the color up to her temples. As a contour I used Benefit Hoola bronzer, which is a beautiful matte light brown bronzer. I applied Hoola in a 3 shape along her temples, under her cheekbones, and down under her chin. The last step of the face was applying Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl liquid highlighter to Maddie’s cheekbones and a little down the bridge of her nose
Eyes
I began Maddie’s eye makeup by prepping her eyes with the MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study. Then, I applied Bootycall from the NAKED 2 palette all over her lids. In her inner corner and under the inner half of her bottom lash line I used the L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Iced Latte on top of the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese and on Maddie’s brow bone I used NAKED 2’s Foxy. Next, I applied the color Tease in Maddie’s crease and emphasized the outer v with the shade Busted. I then took Busted and applied it under the outer half of her lower lash line
For eyeliner I used a small angled eyeliner brush from Coastal Scents to apply my Essence Gel Eyeliner in Midnight in Paris along Maddie’s upper lash line and winged out at the corners. I also applied the gel eyeliner along the outer half of Maddie’s lower lash line. I then used Milani’s eyeliner in Black along the outer half of Maddie’s waterline and lastly I applied a coat of Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara along her upper and lower lashes
Lips
I kept Maddies’s lips simple by applying a small amount of my Wet N Wild Lipstick in Mauve Outta Here all over her lips and then I applied the NYX Mega Shine lightly on the center.

I had a lot of fun doing Maddie’s makeup! I do not do winged eyeliner very often because one of the makeup steps that I struggle with the most is making the wings on both sides equal. Whenever I do a winged eyeliner look I feel like I make one side higher, lower, straighter, more curved etc. etc. than the other. For this reason Maddie helped me with one side of the eyeliner so that we could try to get them pretty equal. I personally think it turned out great :)
What is your favorite part of this looks? Any helpful feedback is appreciated!
Hugs and kisses xoxo
